Metal Gear Solid Rising gets four new trailers and Inferno Armour

Four new trailers for Platinum Games’ Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengeance have been released, and they have us even more hyped than we already were (if that’s possible). This month we previewed Revenegeance and thought the combat was “smooth and stylish,” and that we were looking forward to, “getting to grips with the game’s fully fledged combat system.”

The first video showcases the game’s cyborg enemies which range from your standard grunts to your heavy hitting, mallet-wielding beasts. There’s not much explanation of the enemies here, but it’s a good excuse to see some badass slicing action.

Raiden’s weapons are the subject of our second entry to the list. Sporting seven different blades, our ninja is one deadly man. We really like the look of the armour blade, which is used to take out heavier opponents, cutting away at pieces of battle suits to exploit weaknesses. There’s even one blade that chucks Raiden into a Mexican bandit outfit.

The third trailer shows off the Cyborg Ninja DLC which puts Raiden in Gray Fox’s costume from Metal Gear Solid 1. Back in January we revealed that players in the UK and Australia will all receive the Cyborg Ninja DLC for free, if they purchase a new copy of the game.

The last video shows off the new Inferno Armour, which increases the maximum amount of throwing weapons that Raiden can carry. The new crimson red suit is only available if you purchase the game through Amazon.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance hit stores on February 22nd on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
