Big Band funded by Skullgirls’ crowdsourced campaign

New Skullgirls DLC character Big Band has been funded by fans of the beat-em up, as the crowdsourced campaign for DLC smashed through the $375,000 mark. If fans manage to push this to $400,000 then the new man on the block will get his own stage and story mode. If an extra $200,000 is put in the kitty, then a new mystery character, that fans will have the chance to vote for will be added to the game.

Lab Zero Games has had a torrid development history and turned to fans to help raise funds for new DLC, commenting on the latest landmark in their Indiegogo campaign they wrote:

“Just… amazing.

“Thanks in large part to our second “Divinity,” we’ve now funded Big Band!

“Once again, Lab Zero would like to thank you and everyone else that have contributed to this campaign! We are unbelievably grateful to have such devoted and supportive fans, and can’t wait to get this new content into your hands.

“Once Big Band’s story mode and stage are funded, we’ll begin releasing information to help you make your decision for the forthcoming Mysterious Character vote, so keep those contributions coming in.

“Again, thank you so much for your continued support.”
