Game developers have got their handbags out this week. Atsushi Inaba of Platinum Games and Yosuke Hayashi from Temco have come to loggerheads over their rival titles.
It all started off in March with an interview with Hayashi, producer for Ninja Gaiden III , who said, “Bayonetta has some good stuff but Bayonetta is old, game design wise, already.”
This has now spurned Inaba to respond to the recent comparions between the two games. Boy did Inaba respond too, labelling Ninja Gaiden III as “shi**y” and promising that Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance would be far better. He writing:
It seems the game play portions of the [Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance] trailer are quite popular. The ability to slice everything is a refreshing feature, and the playable cutscenes are well recieved too. People have been comparing it to Ninja Gaiden, but at least Ninja Gaiden 3 was a shitty game that cannot be helped. I don’t want it to be compared to that.
Fans then reacted to Inaba’s outburst, to which he replied:
You’re all quick to respond! Since I’m free to say my real opinions, I can be as frank as I want.
Well there you have it. Nobody compare the two games or else you will face the wrath of Inaba!
