A Space Invaders model has caused a lot of trouble in Russia. The piece of street art used a model of the iconic enemies from the game. The police received called about “a suspicious object under a railway bridge”, after this happened the area was cordoned off and a bomb disposal unit was set in to secure the area.

The artist called ‘P183′ created the piece of art and put a flashing red laser on the character to imitate shots being fired, like in-game. Speaking in an interview, which you can watch below, he said, “I’m shocked at the police reaction. Who could have possibly mistaken a two meter wide space invader for a bomb?”
