An action-packed trailer for Square Enix’s Sleeping Dogs has been released at E3. The video is crammed with various torture techniques, beat downs and car chases.

Pretty much everything is used as a weapon in this trailer, from a Lamborghini door to a smelly toilet. Even a fat old lady is getting into the violence, threatening a man with a cleaver.

We also get a glimpse into Sleeping Dogs’ story, which has the lead protagonist working undercover for the police within underground gangs of Tokyo. It is all a bit really.

Watching the trailer we do wonder why more developers have not used the neon streets of Tokyo for more action games as it looks amazing and makes a nice change of scenery.

We are really looking forward to Sleeping Dogs, but hope that the game improves on what we saw when we got our hands on the game last month. 

Sleeping Dogs will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on August the 14th.
