Haruka has been a prominent character in the Yakuza series, but when it was announced that she would be a playable character in the fifth game, a few eyebrows were raised. Surely, this peaceful little girl couldn’t start beating up street thugs?

Today SEGA have put fans fears to rest by revealing that Haruka will have her own dance battle mini-game in Yakuza 5. By hitting buttons at the correct time, Haruka will pull off some stylish moves, building her heat bar. Once this is full you can unleash a devastating Dance Heat move to spice up encounters, swinging judges in your favour.

These dance battles will help Haruka become part of the Princess League, should you wish to do so.

Although we are not huge fans of rhythm games, this sounds like your typical Japanese weirdness which is part of what makes the Yakuza series so special.
