Injustice: Gods Among Us sends DC Comic Heroes into Battle

Injustice

NetherRealm Studios, the talented developers behind the massively successful Mortal Kombat series, invites you to take your favourite DC characters into battle in Injustice: Gods Among Us.

The new game comes to us from the team behind last year’s Mortal Kombat franchise reboot, and prior to that the series crossover with DC Comics in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

Showing off an array of DC staples such as Batman, Superman, The Flash, Solomon Grundy and Wonder Woman, the trailer appears similar in tone to the gritty CG trailers which were released prior to DC Universe. Our favourite super heroes appear armed to the teeth, sporting heavy set armour and gritty expressions opposed to the classic Spandex attire of yesteryear.

Martin Tremblay, President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, said:

“With Injustice: Gods Among Us, we are creating an all-new franchise with incredible battles set in the DC Comics Universe.

“NetherRealm Studios is the extremely talented team behind the latest Mortal Kombat hit and it is developing a game unlike any other in the fighting genre.”

Ed Boon, Creative Director with NetherRealm Studios, added:

“We can’t wait to reveal Injustice: Gods Among Us because it will give our fans and gamers an epic experience both as they battle like gods as their favourite DC Comics villains and heroes.

“Our team is excited to make a fighting game that is filled with fast-paced action, incredible story-telling and iconic DC Comics characters.”

Injustice: Gods Among Us is currently slated for release in 2013, on all console platforms, which by that point will include the as yet unreleased Nintendo Wii U console.
