A new Dragon Ball Z game is in the works, which may not sound that exciting, but when we heard that the game was on Kinect we became as excited as Gary Glitter at a school fair.

Dragon Ball Z for Kinect will allow players to fight using their favourite characters from the Manga series. The game has hundreds of different motion controlled moves, including the Kamehameha you wanted to do so badly as a child.

The new Dragon Ball Z game seems to work in first person, which could make movement problematic. We hope that the whole thing is not on-the-rails too, as this would take a lot away from it.

Players will be able to unlock special new items by using QR codes that link to Kinect.

“There’s going to be no better feeling in the world for fans of the Dragon Ball Z series than standing in front of their screens and unleashing their own fists and raging blasts upon enemies with this game,” said Namco Bandai vice president of marketing Carlson Choi.

“The Kinect sensor has truly enabled the development team to finally realize the dreams of millions of fans of both the classic games and the timeless original anime. This game will truly represent the next generation of interactive entertainment in the Dragon Ball Z universe.”
