More footage of Borderlands 2 has emerged from last week’s E3 Conference. The new footage shows off the villainous Handsome Jack’s hideout.
The footage, courtesy of VG247, features an interview with Gearbox Software Vice-President Steve Gibson as we are introduced to the new environments of Borderlands 2 and some of the gameplay we can expect from this sequel.
This particular segment from the game shows the player taking control of a construction robot to take down the statues of Jack around the city in order to undermine his regime. Claptrap can also be heard in the background throughout most of the demonstration – his particular brand of humour forcing a chuckle or grating on the ears, depending on which side of that argument you come down on.
In addition to the section of the game shown off in the trailer, a little more regarding the specifics of the plot are also hinted at – Handsome Jack plans to awaken ‘The Warrior’, a force capable of destroying Pandora, and it is down to you to stop it from going down!
Borderlands 2 is set for release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on 18 September in the US and 21 September for those in the UK.
