Yeah you read that correctly, Pokemon. In the latest move from Square Enix, players will now be able to catch certain enemies and use them in combat. There are even 150 to collect, like Pokemon (151 if you count Mew) as well. Wonder if you will capture these monsters with a ball of sorts.

“For the first time in a Final Fantasy game, the player has the ability to capture monsters for use in future battles,” the publisher said.

“Each monster has a specific role to play in combat, and there are over 150 to collect, each with their own special attack. As with the main members of the party, each unique Monster can be developed and levelled up too.”

The trailer below titled ‘Master of Monsters’ highlights some of the new gameplay. Remember you gotta catch ‘em all!
