First details on Double Fine’s kick-starter project

Tim Schafer

Double Fine’s Tim Schafer has yesterday released the first Double Fine Adventure! update in which he’s made a few announcements surrounding their upcoming kick-starter funded title. As claimed before, the more money they’d receive the more feature they could add.

First of all he announced the platforms, for now, on which the new point and click adventure will be released, PC, Mac, Linux and for mobile devices on iOS and certain Android phones. Further features are the addition of English voice-acting, in-game text available in EFIGS (English, French, Italian, German and Spanish) and upon release the game will be available for download as a DRM Free version.

Backers of the project on kick-starter will be granted access to the closed Beta on Steam. Other updates and rewards will be released in the near future although it can’t go unsaid that they’ve already reached over 1.85 million dollars nearly 1.5 million more than their 400,000 dollar pledge, so we can expect more to come.
