Gore Verbinski, the man behind Pirates of the Caribbean and The Ring has started up his own production house called Blink Wink, who will now work on games.
Verbinski has teamed up his new development team with Microsoft and although there are no details on the games being designed we do know the first will be an Xbox Live Arcade release.
“We are thrilled to be working with Blind Wink to bring its cinematic production quality to our platforms,” said Matt Booty, general manager at Microsoft Studios. “Xbox 360 gamers can look forward to innovative and creative games from the mind of Gore Verbinski that explore new and exciting gaming territory and take full advantage of our platforms.”
“Audiences consume content very differently today. As an idea house, we at Blind Wink are looking forward to our partnership with Microsoft,” said Verbinski. ” Their various platforms give us access to new methods of distribution, allowing us to extend into emerging markets and connect more directly with the audience.”
