Shadow of the Colossus is one of the most beautiful games that we have ever played in our lifetime. Well designed, moving and artistically beautiful the game is blew us away when we first played it during the PS2 era. Oddly Sony have decided that 8 years after release, now is the time to release a film based on the game. We don’t really understand why this decision was ever made as the story and lack of dialogue both do not fit with normal Hollywood ideals.

Progress on the Shadow of the Colossus film is swimming along perfectly, despite our reservations and now has a new writer (things get worse from here). Seth Lochhead, who previously worked on the atrocious Hanna, has been announced as the lead script writer for the film. If was anything like the game, there would be about two pages of the dialogue for the whole thing, so maybe, just maybe this can work…
