According to The Express GAME may be about to close down as they attempt to cut their losses. The company has seen massive losses year on year. They even announced that they would not be selling Ubisoft’s Vita games and would not stock EA titles this March (bar SSX).
Apparently GAME’s lenders, who primarily consist of Royal Bank of Scotland members, are growing impatient with the high street retailer.
A source told the national newspaper: “There is a real risk that Game’s directors will pull the plug because they can’t be sure that the company can survive through the next trading season, and then insolvency becomes inevitable.
“They are in discussions with their legal advisers about whether to shut up shop rather than rack up more losses.”
