Former Inside Xbox staff (now under the guise Explosive Alan Productions) have hit their $10,000 target on crowd-source site Indiegogo, to produce a pilot for a new video games show.
Currently under the name ‘Project Possum’, the initiative will see the former Inside Xbox staff produce a 25 minute pilot episode, which could be shown to television executives in the hope that a full series could be commissioned. The project has reached its $10’000 target in one day, and at the time of writing is currently sat at $13,140.
On the Indiegogo website the team have outlined a manifesto for the principles, upon which their new show would be founded. Among these are a push to get rid of jargon, to ensure that the show creates a community through Facebook and Twitter, and a push to bring interesting industry folk onto the show.
Inside Xbox was shut down in May and the team behind the project lost their jobs. Dan Maher, Ash Denton and Gareth Wild have since come together to form Explosive Alan Projuctions, who we shall hopefully see more of in the future now that they have hit their target.
