The iPhone 4S may have not come out that long ago but that hasn’t stopped talk circulating about the iPhone 5′s release.
9to5Mac has released a new story that details some of the details for the iPhone 5, including its Summer release date. According to 9to5Mac they were informed by “a reliable source at Foxconn” in China.
The rumours would not be a huge shock if true. Apple to tend to like surprising customers and the launch of the iPhone helped to spur the company onto becoming the World’s richest company, if only for a brief amount of time.
The online publication also claimed to have seen several dummy phones but said they were unsure which one would be used for the final build of the iPhone 5. Below are some of the design features 9to5Mac listed.
- A 4+ inch display (made by LG on at least one of them)
- No teardrop-shaped devices, as rumored in the lead up to the iPhone 4S. Samples so far have been symmetrical in thickness (also longer/wider)
- Neither of the sample devices have the iPhone 4/4S form factor
- Neither of the devices are the final versions
