Is Arma II mod Day Z the most realistic zombie game ever?

dayz_newsheader

Now we know that zombies don’t exist and thus are not real, but if there was an outbreak it would be like this new Arma II mod.

Day Z drops players into a multiplayer world where they have no compass or map. They also are required to find food to survive. Like in a real apocalypse, items are scarce, so meeting new players and forging friendships is key. Of course you could just be a dick like and just harass everyone that you come across.

Most important of all, if you die in the game your character is gone. There is no respawning here so you have really got to be careful of what you do and how you interact with others.

One NeoGaf user said that he had seen, “small groups of friendly survivors get robbed by masked bandits and used as zombie bait/distraction. I’ve [Spat_triate] seen people get murdered for a can of Coke. I’ve seen people trust others, only to be shot in the back and stripped bare as they lay bleeding on the ground.”

It is a really interesting concept that we think needs to be explored more. We really do not know why a AAA, online zombie MMORPG has not been made yet. Think about it, you would forge alliances take back parts of the city dominated by the infected and make runs for food and ammunition.

On it says that the average life expectancy is 4h 33m. Of course, in a real zombie apocalypse, us gamers would be the safe ones. We’ve been training for it for years.
