Namco Bandai have picked up the rights to co-publish the latest Star Trek game.  Paramount Digital Entertainment will be working alongside Namco Bandai on releasing the latest adventure in the Star Trek universe.

The new game is set to be released alongside the 2013 release of the new movie.  The new Star Trek game will have ”unprecedented co-op experience” that sees you take control of Kirk and Spock in order to stop an evil force from conquering the galaxy.

From the looks of things this will be a 3rd person, cover-based shooter. Think Mass Effect but with Vulcans.

The game will be developed by Digital Extremes who have previously made Dark Sector and The Darkness II.
