New screenshots from The Last of Us have been released by developer Naughty Dog. The PS3 exclusive is turning into one of this years hottest games and these screenshots have only left us wanting more.

“I think they do a great job of representing a decent slice of the beauty and destruction present in the environments, and of the exploration and brutal nature of conflict in the world of The Last of Us,” community strategist Arne Meye said on the Playstation Blog.

From the looks of things improvised weapons are key. We are expecting there to be a distinct ammo shortage in this game, so expect to be shooting off heavy machine guns and grenade launchers.

Meyer added: “The team has been cranking away at building more to the game and story of The Last of Us since we last hosted visitors – we can’t wait to pull back the curtain just a little more when the time comes.”
