Yesterday we brought you news that Okami may be receiving a HD re-release. It seems that these rumours were true with Capcom confirming the game under the title, Okami Zekkie-ban, or Okami Magnificent Version if you speak English.
According to the new version of Okami will be in full HD and will also support the Playstation Move, Sony’s motion controller.
Okami Zekkie-ban will be out in Japan on November the 1st, priced ¥3,990. The game will be released in North American and Europe this August. We should have more news on a solid release date and pricing for these regions in the near future.

The aspect ratio is nice, but the game still look stunning on PS2. Cell-shaded games like this and Wind Waker just don’t age badly at all – still look as pretty as they did when they came out.
Shame Okami was such a beast of a game – poured hours and hours into it only to get to a point where I was told “And now your tale truly begins…”
I was not amused.
