Sega will release a program that lets you build your Phantasy Star Online 2 character. This will be available for people to play with, up until the closed beta is launched. If you are lucky enough to be invited to the closed beta, you will even be able to use your created character.
The Phantasy Star Online 2 demo will be released on the game’s official website on April the 5th. Until then, take a look at this video which shows off how the character creation system will work.

i don’t see how a that old mmorpg should find its userbase so big that the microtransactions finally will amount to something. i, as a working entity, have barely enough time to play all the normal retail games to the fullest. how should i spend all my time playing just one game? sure, i am not among the target group of this game. the target group is schoolkids and unemployed people. but then i am asking myself: schoolkids and unemployed persons are not exactly known for their big spending abilities, while i on the other hand don’t exactly know (at the moment) where to spend my money on the vita because there just isn’t enough interesting stuff out there.
