Mortal Kombat vs DC, Marvel vs Capcom, Street Fighter X Tekken. We’ve had some really odd crossovers recently but nothing comes close to this latest match up.
Cute and cuddly Pokemon will join forces with samurai sword wielding, bloodthirsty and generally evil Nobunaga in a new DS game.
For those of you not up on your Japanese history, Oda Nobunaga is the man who spearheaded the unification of Japan. With his military prowess the leader conquered over one-third of Japan before his death.
The game will not have humans and weapons as the Nobunaga’s Ambition series usually does. To keep the family image characters will use Pokemon (presumably) to take over Japan.
Tecmo Koei have developed the Nobunaga’s Ambition series. The games are turn-based strategies which have never seen the light of day in Europe. A few releases have come out in the US and some of the games have been launched in the iTunes. Still we’d be shocked if this made it outside of Japan.
Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition is due out in Japan on March the 17th for Nintendo DS.
