A few months ago people feared that the futuristic shooter, Prey 2, had been cancelled outright. It took Bethesda a few weeks to even come out and deny the rumour too, which only helped to get more tongues wagging.

The latest news is that the game has not been worked on since November 2011 as development team, Humanhead with things.

According to source that spoke with Shacknews the developer, Human Head, ”was not happy with the terms its contract with [publisher] ZeniMax,” and, “deliberately stopped work on the game in November so it could try to negotiate a more favorable deal.”

Zenimax have not commented on the story.
