Brian Burleson has put an end to talk that the release of Prometheus effectively pushed back the release of Aliens: Colonial Marines. Burleson, producer on Aliens: Colonial Marines, explained that despite talking with Ridley Scott about the project, the game’s delay was unrelated to the movie’s release.
Burleson quashed internet rumours, explaining the situation. “That happened way before either the film or the game was started. So it hasn’t really affected us,” when addressing the question of talks with Ridley Scott.
“When we first spoke to Ridley we got some info on how things worked, but for the most part during the filming of Prometheus we were in the dark as well. It wasn’t until the very end that we got to see more. And thank god it was all consistent with what we had in the game,” he added.
“When it comes to Prometheus there’s no, like, ‘wink, wink, nod, nod’ this is a reference to a specific thing in the movie. Chronologically Prometheus happens way, way before.”
