The exciting new adventures which await Skyrim fans in the first DLC pack, Dawnguard, have been teased in the latest trailer from Bethesda.
Before becoming available on all other platforms 30 days later, the downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will release on Xbox Live for 1600 Microsoft Points this summer.
Combat’s featured heavily in this latest trailer, with recently announced mounted combat and the new crossbow both making appearances. A dragon diving into water also crops up, which should help to peak gamer’s curiosity.
The video delves into the struggle between the two battling factions who will appear in the DLC pack: a coven of blood-thirsty vampires set on blotting out the sun, and the Dawnguard, an order whose mission is to stop the vampiric threat.
There is currently very little information available about the mysterious new content, with most of what is known having been picked up from dissecting the clues and hints released thus far. All we can say for certain is that this first batch of DLC promises to prove more substantial than some shiny horse armour.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim exceeded every expectation at launch, selling over 10 million copies in little more than a month. Six months on, since the game’s release, Skyrim remains one of the most played games through Steam, topped only by chart staples including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and the Counter Strike games.
