New screenshots from Assassin’s Creed III have surfaced on NeoGaf forums.
The images show off the game’s protagonist hunting in the mountains. The new snow environment looks absolutely stunning, with trees creating a cover from the midday sun, making a pattern of shadow that looks very realistic.
From the last aerial screenshot of deer we guess that tracking may have a big effect on how well you hunt. It looks as if individual foot/hoof prints will stay there after moving. This means that you can follow animals by their trail. More importantly what this suggests is that players will regularly have to use trees, avoiding the snow outright to avoid detection.
Assassin’s Creed III will be released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 30th in the US and a day later in Europe.
