It appears that all hopes of work on Sonic 2 HD being finished are finally over. The company recently announced that production on the remake had finished.
It emerged that the game, despite how amazing it looked, the alpha version was riddled with a horrible keylogger virus. This nasty little piece of work can watch what you are typing in on your keyboard and is often used by people to steal passwords and credit card details.
The game was originally being developed by an online community, but after a while people moved on. One, ’LOst’, took up the role as Lead Programmer where he put the game out claiming it as his own. This led others to leave and with nobody else left to work on the game, it finally bit the bullet.
