You might have heard about the mobile app for Steam, but before today you could only use it if received an invitation. But now anyone can enjoy Steam on the go!

Valve’s innovative online gaming service/network is available on the Android Market and the iTunes App Store for you to purchase.

President and co-founder of Valve, Gabe Newell, declared that the app was released because of “many direct requests from our customers” and it is “part of our commitment to meet customer demands and expand the service functionality of Steam to make it richer and more accessible for everyone.”

Using this app you can check on your friends’ activities; message them; purchase games on the Valve store and view images and screenshots for upcoming games.
