Sony has referenced a Playstation Vita version of its popular Gran Turismo series in a recent customer survey, IGN reports.
The survey mentions the possibility of a version of the latest iteration of the franchise, Gran Turismo 5, coming to the portable handheld:
“You told us earlier how interested you would be in buying the PS Vita version of the latest Gran Turismo game.
“Knowing that you might be able to get a discount on the PS3 version of the game, how interested are you now in the PS Vita version?”
According to IGN, the survey went on to inquire about future offers available through the Playstation Plus service. Specifically, the survey asked for the participant’s thoughts on being offered a free version of the PS3 version of a game, if its counterpart is purchased for the PS Vita, or vice-versa.
Gran Turismo 5 released on the PS3 back in November 2010, selling 7.4 million copies over the course of the first year and earning a Metacritic score of 84%.
