Speaking to Gamespot, Capcom producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi stated that the Japanese games company would consider remaking Resident Evil 2. Released on the PS1 in 1998, the second title in Capcom’s survival horror series is considered by many to be the pinnacle of the series.
