DLC for fighting games has been a controversial matter over recent years. While other franchises such as BlazBlue and Street Fighter have openly sold a smorgasboard of DLC characters for their game, TEKKEN has never followed this trend. It seems that this may change though as a few hackers have managed to not only grab a copy of the game early, but have also found extra characters stored on the disc of Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

The lead designer on TTT2, Katsuhiro Harada, openly stated that he is against the idea of characters being released as paid DLC, so this move looks to contradict his earlier comments. He hasn’t backed off this leak though and has already stepped up to address this issue :

“Yeah, I hate ‘jump the gun questions’ and If you got TTT2 before release date. SHUT UP and stay tuned. Where is your manner?”
