Darkstalkers: The Night Warrior gets PSN re-release

One of Capcom’s most overlooked game, 2D brawler Darkstalkers is about to be given a new lease of life when it is released on PSN.

The game’s launch was outed by the ESRB ratings board. This is the first Darkstalkers release many will have seen in years as the game has struggled to gain fans in the UK, especially when compared to other Capcom franchises.

There is still no release date on The Night Warrior, but expect Capcom to release a statement soon.

Asura’s Wrath gets release date:

Fans of Anime and Capcom’s action games Devil May Cry series will want to pay attention to this, as Asura’s Wrath was given a confirmed released date of February 21st.

The latest over the top game Asura’s Wrath looks like an odd blend of  a DMC release and the recent Naruto games, with QTC and third person action seamlessly blended into one. So far trailers have shown a fight on the moon and Asura using his six arms to push back a god bigger than the Earth itself. Why is all of this mayhem occurring you ask? Well the Guardian Generals killed Asura’s wife and his daughter is now missing. Typical.

 

GoW team working on new game

An ad has recently emerged that has outed the God of War teams latest game. The job listing reveals that the next game will be in the “Military/Combat” genre.

The job listing  is for someone to work on conceptual development and illustrations for GoW’s team, Sony Computer Entertainment America Santa Monica.

“Join the GOW team,” the job listing says. “The Santa Monica Studio is an open and creative environment, where we strive to make the best games in the industry. Join us as we embark on our next project.”

 

Lollipop Chainsaw trailer-Grindhouse, gore and upskirts:

Suda 51 is one crazy Japanese man. The guy has given us some twisted and frankly weird games to play in his time. Killer 7 and recently the ‘Big Boner’ shooting Shadows of the Damned have delighted the masochist inside us recently and Lollipop Chainsaw looks to do the same.

The game follows a young teenage cheerleader, who wields a chainsaw and kills her classmates and other school members who have now turned into zombies. If that was not enough the game even has a blend of blood and pink fluffy happiness when you chop your adversaries up.

The newest trailer has a grindhouse feel to it with zombies getting sliced and diced in pretty much every frame. There’s even a new character who seems to be the janitor that help our heroine and what looks to be a new minigame, where the scantily clad cheerleader chops zombie heads into basketball hoops. Count me in!

 

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection:

It may have only been last week that Konami announced that MGS would be put back, but that hasn’t stopped them from releasing a list of a achievements to get fanboys salivating.
