The applicants were then seen on the 18th of this month by Toshihiro Nagoshi,Masayosh Kikuchi, Masayoshi Yokoyama and Koji Uemura who are all heavily involved in the Yakuza series in one way or another. The hopeful women were then asked several questions and then had a chance to show off their ‘talents’ to the judges.
Here’s what Executive Director, Toshihiro Nagoshi had to say to Famitsu about the auditions:
Interviewer: This is the third audition done for the Yakuza series. How do you feel?
Nagoshi: I can feel the excitement from the applicants. As I’m in the process of making a new game myself, I’d like to incorporate that feeling to the game.
Interviewer: What are your expectations in the following four auditions that will be held?
Nagoshi: It may make you nervous, but I’m looking for someone that’ll hit me with all she’s got.
Interviewer: Were there any appeals that left a deep impression?
Nagoshi: I can’t specifically pick one, but they were all so unique. Many of them have a strong dedication to entertain others, while enjoying their own life. I’ve got to say it’s admirable. They say that young people these days are so dull, but boy are the women filled with energy.
Interviewer: Finally, how will the person selected from the audition be part of the game?
Nagoshi: We have some ideas flying around, but there will be a need to change according to the chosen applicant. As for the details, please look forward to our announcements.
