The upcoming issue of Famitsu magazine has revealed the new title for the next instalment in the Yakuza series alongside some minor details that will make for major additions.

Update: Famitsu has since been released with a slew of details were released by :

- Kazuma Kiryu, Taiga Saejima, Shun Akiyama, Haruka and Tatsuo Shinada are playable
- Haruka is the main character
- Shinda is a former baseball character
- Shinda was given a life ban for gambling
- Five cities: Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka
- Each of the five characters lives in one of the cities above
- Story connects with Yakuza 4
- Double the development of previous Yakuzas
- Being developed somewhat like a “new Yakuza”
- Script/scenario with the greatest scale and dynamism yet seen in the series
- Adventure switches to battle and back seamlessly
- Controls have improved greatly
- 70% complete

Yakuza 5′s theme, according to Twitter user , will be the number five, allowing players to take control of five main characters in five different cities (Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka).

Yakuza’s full title is supposedly “Ryu ga Gotoku 5: Yume Kanaeshi Mono” which roughly translates to “Yakuza 5: Those Who Fulfills Dream”. Sinobi went on to write that the game might be getting a December 2012 release.
