After recently hearing that Capcom had the impression that fans were warming up to the new Dante in DmC I thought to myself they could not be more wrong. The reason why series veterans have moved away from this reboot was not the pure cosmetic choices but the entire presentation.

Gather Your Party has released a video discussing this issue in great detail, from the sloppy written dialogue, to poor voice acting. Since we heard about Dante’s rewritten origin story I started to become skeptical as it was building up a new type of protagonist. Alongside everything we have seen so far in terms of footage, the upcoming Devil May Cry leaves a bad taste in our mouths. Hopefully, once the title is released, the gameplay will be able to carry the revamped protagonist.
