Doom 3: BFG Edition install issue puzzle us

In a bizarre turn of events, it seems that players who install DOOM 3: BFG Edition onto their Xbox 360 will not be able to play the original game that’s included on-disc.

NeoGaf has a screenshot of from what looks like iD Software’s latest game. The picture shows a player trying to play the PC classic DOOM with the text saying, ”This content cannot be accessed when DOOM 3: BFG Edition is installed on your Xbox 360 HDD. To access this content, please uninstall this game from your HDD and play it from the game disc.”

The image only shows what (if real) appears to be a 360 version of the game. It is not clear if this will affect other versions as well.

We have contacted iD Software to comment on the matter.

Despite this odd turn of events we are still really excited for DOOM 3: BFG Edition, especially after reading the full list of achievements yesterday.
