At their pre-CES showcase Nvidia showed off its latest baby, a handheld console called Shield. Running on Android, Shield will remain open source, allowing for an array of different items to be used on the device.
Shield packs a punch too, with a Tegra 4 processor that is able to play Hawken, as shown in the demonstration by chief executive Jen-Hsun Huang. If that isn’t enough for you, the handheld also boasts a 5-inch touchscreen HD display, SD card slot, HDMI port and can be linked with home TVs and 10-11 hours of battery life when playing games.
