The next console war should get under way pretty soon with Sony hinting that they will announce a new console in May/June. Speaking to El-Murcurio On-line Sony’s vice president Hiroshi Sakamoto was asked about a new console and replied that, “ Sony PlayStation friends are getting ready.”  Sakamoto went on to state that Sony are planning on a big reveal but that we will “have to wait at least until May,” for any news.

Sony would be stupid to not make an announcement on a new console. Microsoft recently teased fans by releasing a countdown clock for a big E3 announcement and with the Wii U already out, Sony cannot afford to waste any time.
