Back in March, Yoshiro Ono stated that development on Tekken X Street Fighter was far behind, however Tekken Producer Katsuhiro Harada has come out to explain that we might still be getting the crossover for this generation of consoles.
In an interview with Eurogamer Harada said, “There’s still a large number of players out there with a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 who are looking forward to the game. So we feel it’s probably more relevant to get the title out to them on the current hardware.”
“We’re not completely sure,” he continued, “but that’s the direction at this moment.”
Tekken X Street Fighter was announced together with Street Fighter X Tekken in July 2010, though it was known from the beginning that bringing the 2D fighter into the world of Tekken would be a greater challenge than vice versa.
