Arc System Works have announced XBlaze. Little has been discussed about the game and the trailer reveals hardly anything else. It shows several different stills of anime characters and that is about it.

According to BlazBlue’s official Facebook page:

“XBlaze will, it’s been suggested, take place in the BlazBlue universe – as the teaser talks about ‘another Blue story’. So far we only have hints at the characters to go on. Due this winter in Japan, Toshimichi Mori has already hinted that a second installment is already in the works!”

There is one girl in the trailer who looks suspiciously like a young Noel Vermillion and another who reminds us of Rachel Alucard, so perhaps this is a prequel to the series?

When we saw the title XBlazewe were hoping for a crossover between BlazBlue and Guilty Gear X. Oh well, we can always dream.
