According to CVG’s sources the new Assassin’s Creed will be set during the American Revolution.

The move would make sense as in the ‘Da Vinci Disappearance’ DLC players were given a set of co-ordinates that linked to America.

Even more evidence has surfaced to support this information. In a Ubisoft questionnaire sent to Assassin’s Creed fans they were asked what setting they would like for a new release in the series, one of the answers available for this was, “The confrontation between British colonists and native Americans during The American Revolution.”

That said the Assassin’s Creed formula is getting slightly stale, a move to the American Revolution would certainly shake things up.
