BAFTA interview – Ashley Walters

Ashley-Walters-in-London--007

Ashley Walters has shot to fame since leaving So Solid Crew. He’s been in many different tv shows and films including Get Rich or Die Tryin’, Bullet Boy and Demons Never Die . Most recently he starred in Channel 4’s gritty drama Top Boy.

The Peckham-born star was kind enough to stop and answer questions from us and other members of the media.

(M = Media, AW= Ashley Walters)

M: Who do you want to win for best game award tonight?

AW: I’m not sure you know to be honest. I couldn’t really say. I got four kids that play games a lot more than me so I am around them all the time. Actually playing them I’m not sure. I am presenting the Artistic Achievement Award tonight. In there are three games I really, really love: Uncharted, Skyrim and LA Noire. I’m a big fan of them, obsessed with them at the moment. Out of the three if I had to pick I’d go for LA Noire

M: Do you play games much in you own time?

AW: I do, I do. I’ve just been given a AAA card from EA which basically entitles you to free games any time you want. So we’ve been buying a lot of games. We just got FIFA Street through, I also got Street Fighter X Tekken which I started playing today which is amazing. I’m a big FIFA fan as well, so I play football, predominantly with my son.

M: What’s your team?

AW: I’m Arsenal. We mix it up a bit; we change a few of the players and teams.

M: Thanks for your time.

Remember we interviewed a whole load of people. Read more from Portal 2, Minecraft and  Modern Warfare 3′s creators here.
