In a recent announcement Valve has confirmed that Counter Strike: Global Offensive will be released this summer.
Alongside this announcement a small selection of screenshots have been released, which may not show the most advanced models but some pretty impressive lighting, for a game that seems to still be cranking up the Source engine.
The highly anticipated online shooter is being developed for the PC and for the first time also for Xbox 360, Playstation 3. Maps expected to be included in the initial release will be Dust, Dust2, Aztec, Nuke, Inferno, Italy and Office.
The new Counter Strike is on the list of games we’ve been waiting ages for and further more one of the titles we haven’t heard much about at all… not including the continuation of Half-Life of course. Anyway, if you’re interested in getting your hands on it, you can still try to join the beta at the official Counter Strike Blog.
