Capcom announced today that the open-world RPG/action-adventure game Dragon Dogma will be released in Europe on 25th May and 22nd May in North America. The company originally announced last year that the game would be unleashed early in 2012, but the game is taking longer than they expected.
Perhaps to compensate for the delay in the Dragon Dogma release date, Capcom also announced that those who purchase the game will also receive a one use only code which will allow them to download a demo for Resident Evil 6. The demo will begin worldwide on 3rd July for XBLA users, and for PSN users you can begin your trial on 4th September in North America, and 5th September in Europe.
In Dragon’s Dogma you control a party of three that ventures out into a large world of combat to fight mythical creatures such as hydras and goblins. The game’s director, Itsuno, has revealed the ability to grab onto and climb monsters – something that draws a curious, reminiscent parallel to Shadow of the Colossus.
Capcom also announced that a song will be written for the game by Japan’s newest favourite rock band: B’z.
