It seems that Microsoft is really trying to make the Xbox 360 a multimedia device with the announcement that the console will get yet another streaming service. Manga Entertainment will now provide users with several films and different TV series using the Japanese animation commonly known as anime.

This is huge move by Microsoft. Many anime fans are big gamers, so by doing this they will have snagged themselves a few more users. The fact that both Sony and Nintendo do not cater for this niche audience will also help.

No details have been released on the catalogue of viewable shows and films and there is still no word on pricing.
