Some of the art for the first Zelda games has recently been released online. The artwork was originally designed to be used in media publications, as getting game screenshots was a little harder back in the day.
The beautiful images are the work of Katsuya Terada, who has also worked on Blood: The Last Vampire and Virtua Fighter Remix.
You can take a look at the pictures below in our gallery. The whole thing gives the Zelda series a more ‘mature’ look and makes us what the series would be like if it left its family friendly roots.
