Origins snags some Publishers including SEGA

EA has announced that a series of new publishers have joined the Origin service amongst which SEGA is present.

Alongside games developed by SEGA, users can expect to see titles by Team 17 Software Ltd, Rebellion, Kalypso Media Digital “and more” in the coming months, this brings the total of developers and publishers on Origin to 35.

John Clark, UK Managing Director and PC Digital Distribution Director at SEGA, claimed, “We’re delighted to be partnering with Origin. The PC Market is continuing to grow and the prospect of offering the Total War franchise and the SEGA range of PC titles to the Origin audience is very exciting.”

With the platform reaching 11 million registered users, it comes to no surprise that we are seeing more developers joining the service. Although I ask myself, how many of those 11 million decided to download Origin and how many were forced to do so, to play the game they purchased?
