In one of the oddest moves from a games developer, EA has announced that it will be offering additional characters to those who pre-order Tiger Woods 13.

The first pack consists of Premier league footballers Wayne Rooney, James Milner, Theo Walcott and Petr Cech.

The second pack is a bit more random. Ice hockey star Jeremy Roenick, American football hero Marshall Faulk, basketball legend Dwight Howard and boxer Sugar Ray Leonard can all be selected. We imagine that none of these stars would be any good at golf in real life.

Head of games at Blockbuster UK, James Morton said: “This is the start of an exciting year for Blockbuster customers.
