An update for Minecraft has created a problem for Mojang. A group of people managed to change some of the games updates so that the games language changed to ‘Afrikaans’. The message ‘You are a NIGGER’ was then displayed on players screens where the ‘Play now’ button usually was.

“In these snapshots there are about 50 language files translated by the community, and it happens that they are ruined by pranksters,” Minecraft’s developer Mojang said to Kotaku.

“Players are quick to find and fix these, so they are removed in the next snapshot,” he added

That said the new update will not be taken down until Minecraft updates this Thursday when the next build of the game rolls out.

Should they be forced to remove it or is this just some idiot playing pranks that we should just ignore?
