Sega releasing more classic games on XBLA

It seems that Sega have ramped up their efforts to release fan favourites on digital channels. Today PEGI was spotted rating Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Super Hang-On, Golden Axe, Golden Axe 3, Streets of Rage and Streets of Rage 3 for XBLA.

The news that we will now be able to play the whole Streets of Rage series is what has excited us most. The second game in the series has been available on XBLA for a while now and while it is the best of the series, we still love the others. Although the less said about boxing kangaroos in the third game, the better.

Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Super Hang-On’s release comes as no surprise. Last week we brought you news that these would be released as part of the Alex Kidd and Co. pack.

You’ve been able to play the whole Streets Of Rage series since the Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection was released over THREE YEARS AGO.

The disc is ridiculously cheap these days too.

Curses!! What happened with Toejam & Earl? I want to play that online…

Remember years ago there was a contest to see which game you wanted an HD remake of. Well, Earthworm Jim won that one, but Toejam & Earl was a very close 2nd place. To this day there has not been an HD remake of Toejam & Earl nor has there even been an original re-release on XBLA. Please Sega, I love you.. I need Toejam & Earl.. I want presents!
